Organisations have started to hit constraints to achieve full, production ready applications.
With the rise of microservices and distributed applications, organisations have started to hit constraints to achieve full, production ready applications. One of the major issues, is ensuring persistent, performant storage for applications, across hugely dynamic infrastructure.
StorageOS is a UK-based startup offering simple and automated block storage to stateless containers, giving them state and the means to run databases and other applications that need enterprise-class storage functionality without the concomitant complexity, rigidity and cost.
StorageOS provide an enterprise-class storage platform that is simpler, faster, easier, and lower-cost to use than legacy IT storage, which they characterise as needing storage admins, slow, complex, costly and rigid. StorageOS provide automated storage provisioning to containers which can be instantiated and torn down many thousands of times a day.
We have been working with StorageOS since the were in BETA, helping them identify new trialist customers. Now with the product fully launched, we are helping in a market development and product launch capacity with them.
